Okay, I cleaned up Kai’s tags a little, so, to whom it may concern, I’m no longer using the “oc: artekai” tag as a catch-all. “oc: artekai” is gonna be for Horizon AU stuff only and “kaito maruki” is gonna be for P5R AU only. Of course, these are bound to overlap since they are still the same person, but hopefully stuff about his relationship with canon characters will be a bit more organized now.

The “p5r au” and “phantom thief kai au” tags are basically interchangeable, but there’s a slight distinction between “horizon au” and “p5r horizon au.” The former is a general tag for everything involving Artekai and the AU that he inhabits. The latter is a more specific tag for when I get Takuto or other canon P5R characters directly involved in the world of Horizon.

More importantly, though, I’m just gonna use those four AU tags (along with the “persona 5 oc” and “horizon oc” tags) on art, fics, and longer meta(?). That way it’s easier to filter out shitposts, tag-your-oc posts, and my more rambly stuff.

And then the “oc tag” is the most general tag that includes everything.

So yeah! Just in case anyone wanted to know! ^^

this distinction is still confusing lol so bringing it back for new followers and mutuals :) hi artekai is like the ''original'' version of kai bc i made him first and HE originated from my crossover between p5r and horizon but then i made a P5R-only AU for him which became kind of its own beast lol so that's the divide between artekai (horizon!kai) and kaito (p5r!kai) 👍 self reblog oc tag

I really feel tremendous grief for friendships that kind of petered away in the face of life's currents. There are people with whom I formed deep, unique, vibrant, life-changing connections, and then we had to go our separate ways and it was too hard to maintain long-distance. There wasn't a fight, it just sort of faded. And I feel like I have more friendships like this than friendships that have endured, so maybe I just have to get used to it. But if grief is all the love we have left over - well, I never did get to finish loving them. I love them, and I miss them, and I probably always will.

negative yeah.

Reminder that associating hair length with gender is not a culturally universal concept and that many indigenous folks in North America don’t cut their hair for cultural reasons that have nothing to do with gender.

Reminder that a native guy should be allowed to wear his hair in long braids without people calling it gender nonconformity or saying he’s breaking gender norms, because hair length has nothing to do with his gender norms.

Reminder that a queer native woman should be allowed to wear her hair long without being automatically read as femme presenting, that she can be butch with long hair, because long hair is not associated with femininity in her culture.

Reminder that many native folks cut their hair for solemn reasons, usually mourning, and remarking on it as a reflection of personal style or gender presentation can be deeply disrespectful. No, she didn’t just get a fierce butch haircut - she cut her hair because someone died. No, he didn’t cave to a gender conforming haircut - he cut his hair because someone died.

Reminder that this is not universally practiced by native folks and, like all cultural practices, some people are more strict in their adherence than others.

You cannot define a sexuality around non-binary people in the same way that you can define a sexuality around men and women. It’s not a third gender. It exists outside the binary. Non-binary is an umbrella term, not an actual gender in of itself. Most non-binary people do not identify as the same gender in the same way men and women do. Some non-binary people describe their gender with the term non-binary and that is their own gender, but not everyone who calls themselves non-binary as a term for their gender identity thinks of themselves as the same gender in the same way men and women do. So I’m just saying, the many attempts people have made to define a new sexuality around non-binary people are futile and unnecessary.

Some non-binary people are comfortable dating people who identify as straight, gay, or lesbian, and some are not. That just depends from individual to individual. You don’t need to change the term for your entire sexuality just because you want to date a non-binary person. You don’t need to identify as pansexual or polysexual or whatever to date a non-binary person. If you’re a lesbian and you’re dating a non-binary person, that doesn’t mean you’re misgendering that person with your sexuality. If you’re only attracted to women and you’re dating a non-binary person, that does not mean you see them as a woman. You just can’t define a sexuality around your attraction to that person, and that’s ok, you don’t need to.

Another thing, non-binary people can be any sexuality. Non-binary people don’t have to identify as pansexual. There are non-binary people who are lesbians, there are non-binary people who are gay, there are non-binary people are bisexual. To say you must identify as pansexual to date a non-binary person is especially disrespectful to non-binary people who do not identify as such. Non-binary people can’t be defined under a sexuality and non-binary people don’t all have the same sexuality.
